Just to confirm for everyone experiencing this, there does seem to be an ongoing issue with the SSL cert used by the POP3 and SMTP services on this server. Specifically:
- There is a proper exmsft.com SSL certificate installed. (This web site is using it.)
- It’s supposed to automatically be used for the POP3 and SMTP services.
- It’s not.
- If I explicitly configure those services to use the correct certificate, that configuration is overridden in the middle of the night.
- Frustration ensues.
I’m working with the hosting service to answer the question: WTF?
In the meantime you have a couple of options, I believe:
- Use non-SSL connections.
- Accept/save the non-standard certificates from inmotionhosting.com.
As a reminder, here’s the configuration page.
“We apologize for the inconvenience.” Working on it.
